Fitzgerald, Georgia – February 16, 2009 – American Blanching Company is closely following investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the current Congressional Hearings on Salmonella Outbreak: The Continued Failure to Protect the Food Supply Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations involving Peanut Corporation of America (PCA).
In response to the extended recall for the PCA, Blakley, GA Facility, and the closing of the Plainview, TX. Facility, American Blanching Company makes the following statement:
Subsequent to January 1,2004 American Blanching Company has not manufactured or distributed products using peanuts, peanut butter, peanut paste, or other peanut products from Peanut Corporation of America’s facilities in Blakely, GA., Plainview, TX., or Suffolk, VA..
In response to concern over peanuts of Chinese origin being involved in the salmonella investigation related to PCA, American Blanching makes the following statement:
Subsequent to January 1, 2004 American Blanching Company has not manufactured or distributed products using peanuts, peanut butter, peanut paste, or other peanut products of Chinese origin.
